Marie-Adele Moniot is a writer and editor and currently serves as associate creative director at the American Civil Liberties Union. She is editorial director of ACLU Magazine.
Previously, Marie was managing director of content at Teach For America, content director at the ASPCA, and a writer/editor at the Texas Legislative Council, Art+Culture Projects, and the award-winning design magazine ONE (with stints in between at the Museum of Modern Art, Texas Monthly, and the Huntington Library Press).
Marie’s art writing has appeared in Sculpture Review, Art Lies, Pastelegram, ...might be good, Glasstire, and SFGate, among others, and she has been a member of the International Association of Art Critics since 2006.
Born in California and raised in Texas, Marie lives in New York City with her family.
